About Us

Following the 2010 student demonstrations against increased tuition fees, the Benedict Counsel led a small group of students to pioneer change by means of policy. Thus was born the King’s Think Tank, Europe’s largest student-led Think Tank. We strive to empower students with the skills necessary to devise and implement policy solutions effectively and efficiently.

PUBLICATIONS

King’s Think Tank hosts a student-run blog as well as an annual policy-recommendation journal entitled The Spectrum. Though these differ in style and purpose, both are designed to bridge the gap between students and policymakers by communicating clear, incisive analyses of current social, economic, and political developments. Students from all disciplines and backgrounds are highly encouraged to contribute their ideas and arguments to our growing community of writers. You can find out more here.

EVENTS

Every year, each policy centre chooses two themes on which to focus in each term. Our teams host guest lectures, panel discussions, round-table conferences, and workshops which guide and inform students on every issue relevant to the chosen theme. All students are welcome to join these sessions and exchange ideas with our guests and peers. Read about our policy centres and their themes here. You can also see our recent events on our Facebook and twitter pages.
